CU Music Works!

The University of Colorado at Boulder Music Education Department announces the
Fourth Annual CU Music Works! Middle School Summer Band Camp
Sunday, June 22 - Friday, June 27, 2008

CU Music Works! is open to all Middle School Band Students in Colorado who will be completing 6th, 7th, or 8th grades.

The 2008 guest clinician is Teresa J. Elliott, current Director of Bands at Beaumont Middle School and Professor of Clarinet at Transylvania University, both in Lexington, Kentucky.

Participants will receive large ensemble instruction from the guest clinician as well as individual instruction from specialists in master classes and sectionals.

Each student will find an exciting music-making experience combined with a fun camp-like environment on the CU-Boulder campus.

The camp concludes with a Free Friday Family Finale Concert!

Program Costs

Commuter Track participant cost will be $275 per person. This cost will include tuition, camp services, and the meal (lunch only) package. Resident Track participant cost will be $495 per person. This cost will include tuition, camp services, on-campus lodging and supervision as well as the meal package for the entire camp.

Camp Housing and Meals

COMMUTER or RESIDENT options are available for the week. Those participants wishing to stay on campus should select the Resident track which includes lodging and supervision in an on-campus residence hall for five nights (Sunday through Thursday).

A meal package for the week is available for both Residents and Commuters in an on-campus residence hall dining facility. The Resident meal package includes 15 meals beginning with dinner on Sunday and concluding with lunch on Friday and will be included in the total program cost for students selecting the Resident track option. The Commuter meal package includes 5 lunches for Monday through Friday and will be included in the total program cost for students selecting the Commuter track option.
